As with most products, the price of a storage container can vary due to several factors.
Availability
Since 20’ and 40’ containers are the most widely used sizes, they are typically the most readily available. Smaller sizes are usually less available and therefore can be more expensive.
Age
Age usually indicates the condition a container is in, so older shipping containers may have a discount due to their age.
Condition
The condition of the container, from dents and normal wear and tear, will dictate the price you pay for it as well. For a container in the best condition, expect to pay more for its longer life expectancy.
Location
Your location from the store will affect prices, such as delivery. If you’re closer to the store or near a location where containers are readily available, this will reduce the costs.
Shape / Size
The larger the container means a higher price for the added headroom and/or storage space.

The most popular containers are the steel Conex boxes, however, there are flatpack containers. These can be folded down completely and must be assembled on-site.
